Garyaqaan’s priorities come from what he has seen first-hand: as a prosecutor handling cases from across Somalia, as an organiser in Beledweyne, and as the representative of a district that has faced both conflict and drought.

Lasting stability depends on communities and security forces working together. Having stood with his district during the fight against Al-Shabaab, he supports local cooperation, properly supported forces, and the protection of civilians.

Justice that reaches every region
Seven years in the Military Court showed him how distance and delay can deny people justice outside the capital. He supports courts that are fair, accessible, and trusted in every region.

Education for every child
The free community school he helped found in Beledweyne still teaches children whose families cannot afford fees. He believes that model can and should reach more of Hiiraan.
Adkeysiga abaaraha · Drought resilience
Preparing before the next drought
The 2025 water relief effort helped protect lives and livestock, but it was an emergency response. He advocates investment in water infrastructure and early planning so the next drought does not become a crisis.
